Frequently asked questions
-
If I am absent at an exam, can I get the mark 0/20?
No, you will be marked "A", or "P" if you inform the professor
of your absence by email at least 24 hours before the exam.
-
Can I carry through an earlier mark?
Marks that are less than 10/20 cannot be carried through.
Marks that are greater than or equal to 10/20
-
automatically award the corresponding credits in the case
of global course marks. These marks thus do not need to
be carried through.
-
can be carried through to a future session of the same academic
year in the case of project marks.
-
cannot be carried through in the case of individual
exam marks, or marks obtained during a previous academic year.
-
I did not make the practical project for course X. Can I nevertheless
present the exam?
In the case of a course including a project, a major fail mark (≤ 7/20)
for the exam or the project entails that the final mark becomes equal to
the smallest mark among those of the exam and the project. It is thus useless
to present the exam if you did not submit a project.
-
I did not participate to the lab sessions of the embedded systems course.
Can I nevertheless present the exam?
For this course, the lab sessions represent 10% of the final mark,
provided that the mark of the exam is not a major fail (≤ 7/20). If
you did not participate to the lab sessions, you can present the exam,
but if you succeed, the mark that you will obtain will thus only count
for 90% of the final mark.
-
If I submit again a project for which I can carry through an earlier mark,
do you keep the best score?
No, new marks always replace older ones.
-
Is it possible to see my exam copy?
Yes, by contacting the teaching assistant(s) for the corresponding course.
