Emergency security assessment

In emergency state detection, intermediate short-term equilibria reached ``just after the disturbance'' (JAD) (e.g. 20 to 50 seconds) are considered, where the short-term electromechanical transients have settled down while no significant action of OLTCs has yet been applied. Attributes are power flows, HV and EHV voltages, reactive reserves ...obtained from a snapshot in the JAD state. The latter is classified as critical if its future evolution may lead to unacceptable voltage behavior, otherwise non-critical.
