Jacques Dendal
Professeur Ordinaire
Jacques Dendal graduated as electronical engineer at the University of
Liège in 1958. In 1969 he graduated at the Polish Academy of
Sciences as Doctor in Technical Sciences. Then, he has been working in every
acoustic and electroacoustic domains and became Professor at the University of
Liège in 1975. He is titular of the only Chair of electroacoustics and
applied acoustics in Western Europe. His main interests are in reverberation
process and in concert hall acoustics. From 1975 to 1978, he designed, for his
department of the University of Liège, a set of acoustical measurements
facilities which are among the most impressive in Europe. In 1975 he founded the
CEDIA, a noise control adviser office which is now internationaly well-known.
Professor DENDAL is also member of a set of technical committees working in
standardisation. In University of Liège he was for a long time member of the
Board of the institution.
